Westwing Design Stories
Alexandra Tobler is VP & Creative Director of our Westwing Collection. She shared with us the stories behind her favourite design families.
“We wanted to create a sofa bed that fits effortlessly into everyday life. Many models feel rigid or like a guest bed – PAO is modern, inviting and comfortable. Without obstructive armrests, it transforms into a generous lounging surface while remaining deep and cosy as a closed sofa. The integrated storage is especially practical.”
“With AKO, we wanted the material to speak for itself. ALPI Marblewood has such depth and uniqueness that it should be the star. Clean lines and brushed stainless steel give it structure while letting its organic warmth shine – a piece that radiates both calm and strength.”
“ANAYA was inspired by nature, particularly the soft, rounded contours of a mushroom. Its organic form surprises from every angle and adds a subtle, playful touch to a room – in beige and pale blue, a small artwork for your home.”
“With NALA, we wanted to create little helpers for every space that are elegant too. Various sizes, colours and materials meet timeless design. I love how harmonious they feel while still bringing personality and excitement into the room.”
“The award-winning KEANI exemplifies how sustainability and innovation can come together. 3D printing allows for a striking spiral form that would be impossible traditionally. The self-assembled ‘leaves’ give each lamp a personal touch.”
“With CAMILLE, we aimed to combine Scandinavian simplicity with organic form. The gentle curves and slender legs create a sense of lightness. It’s a chair that offers comfort while making a calm, elegant statement in the room.”
“With MABA, we turned an everyday object into a decorative accent. In various versions, the natural elegance of marble speaks for itself. Organic patterns and clean lines combine simplicity with sophistication.”
