LotusMouth-Blown Table Lamp

Reintroduced by GUBI after more than 50 years out of production, Carlo Nason’s iconic LOTUS table Lamp fuses the peak of Murano glassmaking with a timeless artistic vision. Designed in 1969, it captures Nason’s fascination with form, light, and experimentation, as well as his desire to push the limits of both convention and material possibility. Crafted from four nested layers of mouth-blown glass, the lamp takes its name from its layered flower-like form, which evokes the poetic beauty of the lotus flower. The shade’s individual elements are made using the mouth-blown ‘pulegoso’ glass technique, giving the lamp a varied, semi-opaque texture that enhances depth and light diffusion, ensuring each piece is unique. The multiple layers of glass conceal the bulb from view, creating a soft, ambient glow that brings a sense of calm and depth to a space. Designer: Carlo Nason The light source is included and not permanently installed. It emits warm white light with medium brightness. The table lamp has a toggle switch on the cable, to switch it on and off. The semi-transparent diffuser provides a pleasantly soft light.
